See what our passengers have said about our black taxi tours Belfast:
Although I am from Belfast I reluctantly agreed to take some friends from the USA on the Black Taxi tour around the city to see the places where the ‘Troubles’ occurred. I must admit that it was far better than I thought that it would be. The driver was very experienced and was able to answer all the questions that my friends asked. He was very even handed and did not try and give a biased view of what happened over 40 years. He took us to all the different hot spots, Shankill, Falls, Ardoyne, East Belfast etc. Some of the murals were very frightening depicting gunmen etc & commerating victims/volunteers that had lost their lives. Other more recent murals were bright & cheerful and indicated that things were improving in the city. We were given time to take photos etc and visited places on both sides where we could explore the local culture and purchase souvenirs. All in all it was a very worthwhile trip and I would recommend it to everyone as it was a great way to visit places you would not normally visit.
A personal tour guide who will give you an insight into the troubles and how it still affects Northern Ireland today. Brilliant value for money. You see parts of Belfast you would not otherwise see.
We went on a tour with Alan, a great chap who told us so much about the history of the troubles and the current situation. There is so much more to this area than we expected and it is very moving. You really cannot appreciate what went on here without such an informative guide. To see the streets we heard so much about on the TV all those years ago was very eerie but fascinating.
